Our Story
Est. 2021 — a family, two restaurants, one kitchen philosophy.
A Family Affair
Nonòs is a small, family-owned business. [FOUNDERS' STORY — who the family are, where in Greece the family's roots are, and what brought them to London.]
The name Nonòs — 'godfather' in Greek — is a nod to the family table: the place where everyone is welcomed, fed and looked after.
Summer 2021 — Judd Street
We first opened our doors in the summer of 2021 at 112 Judd Street, a five-minute walk from King's Cross St Pancras. Across two contemporary floors, we set out to build a Mediterranean oasis in the middle of the city — somewhere for coffee and breakfast, long lunches, dinner and drinks with friends.
Marchmont Street — The Second Chapter
A short stroll away on Marchmont Street, overlooking the hustle and bustle of Russell Square, the family opened its second home — an intimate dining room and bar built around carefully curated Greek dishes, hand-selected wines and modern signature aperitifs.
Fresh, Honest Cooking
Greek cuisine is founded on olive oil, grains, fish, meat and vegetables. We take pride in sourcing healthy, fresh ingredients for every dish — meze, souvlaki, gyros, moussaka — seasoned simply and cooked to perfection.
It is food made to be shared: the taste of the Mediterranean, recaptured in Bloomsbury.
Nonòs Today
Five years on from our first summer, Nonòs is two restaurants, two bars and one growing family — welcoming Bloomsbury locals, students, travellers and neighbours from breakfast until late, seven days a week.
