What our guests love about Nonòs, in their words

Guests dining in the ground-floor room at Nonòs Judd Street, a Greek restaurant near King's Cross

Since we first opened our doors on Judd Street in the summer of 2021, a great many guests have pulled up a chair at Nonòs, and plenty of them have been kind enough to write about it afterwards. Reviews are the closest thing we have to a conversation with everyone who has eaten with us, so we have gathered some of the things people say most often about our Greek restaurant near King's Cross. Each quote is short and linked back to the original review.

The grill, and portions to match

If one thing comes up more than anything else, it is the grill, and how much of it there is. Our Mixed Grill Feast brings a chicken skewer, lamb chops, beef kofta and loukaniko pork sausage with pitta, Greek salad, fries and tzatziki, and it comes in a size for one or for two. Guests regularly underestimate it.

“It's been a while since a mixed grill impressed me as much as this one.”

J., Google review, June 2026

Thomas ordered the one-person version and reported that the amount of food was enough for 3 person. (Thomas K., Google review). Tina, who has been coming since we were newly opened, put it this way: The food, especially anything off the grill, is so flavourful and fresh and the portions are generous. (Tina, Google review).

Souvlaki people come back for

Our chicken, pork and lamb skewers are marinated and grilled, then served with fries and salad. They come up in reviews again and again. Tom, visiting London for the first time, wrote: We can definitely recommend the chicken skewers (Souvlaki). (Tom E., Google review). Adam found The chicken skewers were incredible: juicy, perfectly seasoned (Adam S., Google review), and Katie called it maybe my favorite chicken skewer of all time. (Katie H., Google review).

The sides get a mention too. One guest was Really pleasantly surprised with the crispy homemade freshly cut chips. (Google review). If mezze is more your style, Ezio's verdict on our hummus is one we treasure: Personally, I had never tasted such a delicious hummus before. (Ezio S., Google review).

Service with a name attached

Our team get named in reviews again and again, and we are very proud of them. Guests thank servers by name for looking after birthdays, big groups and first visits to London. Maya, on Tripadvisor, liked our attentive but not hovering staff (Maya F., Tripadvisor review). Victor wrote: We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Nono's. Excellent service, terrace atmosphere and Greek food. (Victor M. J., Google review).

We also try hard to find room for people who have not booked. Managed to fit us in without a booking too which was super appreciated! wrote Sophie after a team lunch (Sophie U., Google review). Leslie said: I walked in as a solo diner to a packed restaurant. Somehow, the host found me a table! (Leslie T., Google review).

Allergies taken seriously

Greek cooking, built on olive oil, grills, vegetables and yoghurt, suits a lot of dietary needs, and our menu marks vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes clearly. Tess noticed: the GF items are very clearly marked! The staff is very aware of allergies (Tess R., Google review). If you have an allergy or intolerance, please tell us when you book and again when you order, especially for larger parties, so it reaches everyone who is looking after your table.

A little piece of Greece near the stations

We are five minutes' walk from King's Cross St Pancras, and many guests find us between trains. What they tend to remember is how far from the station it feels. Tom described it as almost like you weren't in the centre of London, but a traditional Greek Taverna. (Tom E., Google review). Jane liked what she could see of the kitchen: Compact open kitchen which looked very clean and well run. (Jane D., Google review). On Tripadvisor, Acker summed it all up: Nonòs is a complete package. Food, wine, ambience, service, value for money.

What we are listening to

Not every review is five stars, and the critical ones matter to us just as much. The most common piece of advice is also the most practical: It can get busy around dinnertime, so a reservation is a good idea (Tina, Google review). A few guests have told us a dish was not what they hoped, or that they expected more for the price, and we take that feedback to heart. If anything is not right during your visit, please tell us there and then, or contact us afterwards.
