Private Dining and Group Bookings Near King's Cross

Candlelit dining table set for a group dinner at Nonos

Booking a table for twelve in central London usually means one of two things: a long table in the corner of a busy room where nobody can hear across it, or a function room with carpet tiles and a set menu that arrived by van. There is a better version, and Greek food happens to be one of the best cuisines in the city for delivering it.

Why Greek food works for groups

Most restaurant menus are designed around one plate per person. That is fine for four people and a logistical problem for twenty, because twenty individual orders means twenty different arrival times and somebody always waiting for their main while everyone else finishes.

Greek eating was never built that way. Meze goes in the middle, grills follow for the table, bread moves around, and nobody is sitting in front of an empty plate. For a group it removes almost every friction point: nobody has to commit to a dish, vegetarians and meat eaters share the same table without a separate "option", and the meal paces itself.

Two rooms, two moods

Judd Street is our largest space, set across two contemporary floors five minutes from King's Cross St Pancras. It takes up to 60 seated or 80 standing for exclusive hire of the whole venue, and a single floor can be hired on its own. It suits birthdays with a crowd, team dinners, launches and anything that wants a bit of noise.

Russell Square, on Marchmont Street, is the intimate one: a warm, candlelit dining room and bar that seats 35, or 50 standing. It is the room for a family celebration, a sit-down dinner where people actually talk, or drinks and canapés for a smaller guest list. Semi-private large group bookings are also possible there.

What we can put on the table

  • Feasting menus. Sharing-style menus built around meze, grills and seafood, so the table fills up in waves.
  • Meze boards and canapés. For standing receptions, where nobody wants to hold a knife and fork.
  • Drinks packages. Cocktail receptions, prosecco on arrival, or wine pairings from our Mediterranean list, including Greek bottles you will not find in the supermarket.

Dietary requirements are far easier to handle on a sharing menu than on a set plate. Tell us in advance who is vegetarian, vegan or avoiding gluten and we will build the spread around them, rather than handing them a single substitute dish.

How to book

For groups of seven or more, or to take a floor or a whole venue, email contact@nonos.co.uk with your date, rough numbers and the kind of evening you have in mind. Our events team will come back with options. The earlier you ask, the more choice you have, especially for Friday and Saturday nights and anything in December.

Fewer than seven? Just book a table as normal.
