The Wellcome Collection at 183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE, is a free museum and library exploring the connections between medicine, life and art, on Euston Road close to Euston station. If you're looking for somewhere to eat before or after a visit, Nonòs Judd Street, our Greek Mediterranean kitchen and bar at 112 Judd Street, London WC1H 9NT, is about 800 metres east, roughly an 11-minute walk.
About the Wellcome Collection
The museum is part of the Wellcome Trust, founded by Sir Henry Wellcome (1853–1936), a keen traveller who amassed a huge collection of books, paintings and objects on the history of medicine around the world. The Wellcome Collection opened to the public in June 2007, in the old Wellcome Building, and reopened with more public space in October 2015.
Its permanent gallery, Being Human, opened in 2019. It explores what it means to be human in the 21st century, through genetics, minds and bodies, infection and environmental breakdown, and it was designed with disabled artists and activists to be one of the world's most accessible galleries. There's also the Reading Room, open to the public, and a changing programme of exhibitions. Background from Wikipedia's Wellcome Collection page.

The walk
From the museum, head east along Euston Road past Euston station, then turn south and cut through the quieter streets beside Camden Town Hall to Judd Street. Nonòs is at number 112, five minutes from King's Cross St Pancras and ten from Russell Square station.
Before your visit
Judd Street opens at 08:30 every day, and breakfast is served until 12:00: the Nonòs Full English, hash Benedict with smoked salmon, cured ham or halloumi, shakshuka, or a vegan breakfast with gigantes beans, hummus and smashed avocado. There's coffee from espresso to a Freddo Cappuccino, and fresh orange juice and smoothies. Our post on breakfast at Nonòs has more.
After your visit
From noon, the à la carte menu runs until close. Between 12 and 5pm, Monday to Thursday, our Souvlaki Wraps come with chicken, pork or halloumi, and the Vegan Souvlaki is served Monday to Friday, 12 to 5pm. For a longer meal, share some meze (hummus, tzatziki, dolmades or filo triangles with spinach and feta), then try the chicken skewer, lamb chops, beef moussaka or sea bass marinated in Greek herbs.
M C D called us A really pleasant spot to eat in central London just a couple minutes walk from Euston Station.
(M C D, Google review) Tim plans to come back: he will definitely return when we are in the Euston area.
(Tim S., Google review) And Linda left happy and with full bellies.

Eating well, the Greek way
After a museum about health, you might fancy something lighter. The Greek table has plenty: a Greek Salad with feta and olives, Grilled Vegetables in olive oil and balsamic, Gigantes Beans baked in tomato sauce, or Grilled Salmon with lemon and parsley. Our guide to vegetarian and vegan Greek food has more, and if you're carrying on to the trains, see our posts for Euston and the British Library.
