Souvlaki, lamb chops and our Mixed Grill Feast

Walk past Nonòs on Judd Street around lunchtime and you will probably smell the grill before you see the teal shopfront. Mezze may be how a Greek meal begins, but for many of our guests the grill is the reason they come back. Here is a guide to everything that comes off it, from souvlaki skewers to the Mixed Grill Feast, and how to order it at our Greek restaurant five minutes from King's Cross.

A quick word on souvlaki

In Greece, souvlaki simply means small pieces of meat grilled on a skewer. It is everyday food: eaten on the street, at the taverna and at family barbecues. The idea is simple. Good meat is marinated, cooked over high heat and served with something fresh and something to soak up the juices. That is exactly how we approach it.

The skewers: chicken, pork and lamb

We make three skewers, each marinated before it meets the grill:

  • Chicken Skewer: marinated chicken cubes skewered with peppers.
  • Pork Skewers: marinated pork cubes.
  • Lamb Skewer: marinated skewered lamb cubes.

All three are served with fries and salad. The chicken is the one guests write about most. Adam found The chicken skewers were incredible: juicy, perfectly seasoned (Adam S., Google review), and Katie went further: maybe my favorite chicken skewer of all time. (Katie H., Google review). Do not overlook the chips, either. One guest was Really pleasantly surprised with the crispy homemade freshly cut chips. (Google review).

Lamb chops

Our lamb chops are dressed simply with lemon, oil and oregano, the holy trinity of Greek grilling, and served with Greek salad, fries and pitta bread. Danny's order is a good template for a first visit: he had the spinach and feta filo parcels for starter, and the lamb chops and Greek salad for mains (Danny T., Google review).

Beef kofta and loukaniko

Two more grill favourites round out the menu. Our Beef Kofta is grilled and served with salad, fries and a side sauce. Loukaniko Karditsas is a traditional Greek chargrilled pork sausage, served as a starter with pitta bread and a side of chilli and garlic sauce. It is a great one to share while you decide on mains.

The Mixed Grill Feast, for one or for two

If you cannot choose, you do not have to. The Mixed Grill Feast brings a portion each of chicken skewer, lamb chops, beef kofta and loukaniko pork sausage, served with pitta bread, Greek salad, fries and tzatziki. It comes in two sizes, for 1 person or for 2 people.

“It's been a while since a mixed grill impressed me as much as this one.”

J., Google review, June 2026

How to order it

A friendly warning: the one-person feast is generous. Thomas tried it and reported that the amount of food was enough for 3 person. (Thomas K., Google review). If there are two of you and you are not starving, sharing the single portion and adding one or two mezze, such as hummus, tyrokafteri or our gigantes beans, is a very good way to eat. Tzatziki comes with the feast, so you do not need to order it separately.

Souvlaki wraps at lunchtime

For a quicker lunch, our Souvlaki Wraps fill pitta bread with fries, house sauce, tomatoes and red onion and your choice of chicken, pork or halloumi. They are served Monday to Thursday between 12 and 5pm. There is also a Vegan Souvlaki, pitta filled with Quorn, chips, hummus, peppers, tomatoes and red onion, on weekday lunchtimes. Please check the menu for current days.

Not eating meat?

The grill is not only for carnivores. Try the halloumi souvlaki wrap at lunch, the grilled halloumi side, or our Nonòs Vegetarian Burger with chargrilled mushroom, roasted peppers and grilled halloumi (which can be made vegan). The grilled vegetables (pepper, courgette and aubergine in extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze) make a lovely side for the whole table.

What to drink with the grill

Grilled lamb and pork love a Greek red. The Agiorgitiko & Syrah from Nemea in Corinthia is a dry red that works well with them, and the Makedonikos Red is a medium-dry alternative. If you prefer beer, a cold bottle of Mythos is the classic Greek choice. Our guide to Greek wine has more ideas.
